The Animal Welfare Initiative (ITW) is a cross-industry alliance that promotes animal welfare in livestock farming. It involves representatives from agriculture, the meat industry, and food retailers. The aim is to gradually improve the living conditions of farm animals in conventional farms. The initiative is a support program, a control system, and acts as the issuer of its own product label.
